Event Description

The 1st Edition of Code212Prize, organized as part of the 5th training session of the Code <212> Center at Ibn Tofail University, concluded successfully with the Final Pitch and Award Ceremony held on May 11-12, 2026. The event marked the culmination of an eight-week innovation and mentorship journey dedicated to transforming student ideas into impactful digital Proofs of Concept (POCs) with strong entrepreneurial potential.

Launched to support student-led digital innovation, this edition brought together 57 project applicants, supported by 22 mentors and academic experts who provided continuous guidance throughout the competition. Following a rigorous selection process, 28 projects were retained and developed across several domains including Artificial Intelligence, software engineering, embedded systems, healthcare technologies, and smart digital solutions.

Code212Prize was designed as more than a traditional competition. It served as an innovation ecosystem where students combined research, creativity, technical expertise, and entrepreneurial thinking to address real-world challenges through scalable digital solutions. Participants were guided through multiple phases including proposal submission, project selection, mentorship and research development, prototype implementation, business modeling, and final pitching.

The initiative reflects the commitment of Ibn Tofail University to fostering digital transformation, innovation, applied research, and future-oriented competencies among students. Through interdisciplinary collaboration and hands-on project development, students strengthened their skills in artificial intelligence, software development, problem-solving, teamwork, research methodology, and startup-oriented thinking.

The final ceremony celebrated the most innovative and impactful projects of the competition. Two projects were officially selected as winners of the 1st Edition of Code212Prize for their technical excellence, innovation, feasibility, and societal impact:

NeuralConsult bridges the critical gaps in traditional tobacco cessation care (isolation, travel distance) by combining remote medical supervision with a 24/7 AI psychological assistant. To guarantee absolute clinical precision, the platform is strictly grounded in official medical protocols (Lalla Salma Foundation, French Ministry of Health, WHO, and the University of California).

🥇 MotionSync (AI Fitness Posture App)

MotionSync is an AI-powered fitness application that helps users perform exercises correctly using only their smartphone camera. Through posture and movement analysis, the application provides real-time feedback to improve exercise accuracy, prevent injuries, and optimize workout efficiency.

Designed for accessibility and everyday use, MotionSync enables users to train independently at home while tracking their performance, participating in challenges, and comparing achievements with other users. By combining artificial intelligence, fitness, and gamification, the platform offers a practical, motivating, and affordable approach to healthy living.

The success of this first edition highlights the growing potential of student innovation within the fields of Artificial Intelligence, software engineering, and applied digital technologies.
